Playing Catch-Up!

The holidays this year are much more different than last...Alan is actually enjoying every moment, which takes me back to my childhood. We decorated his room with decorations from Bronners (in Michigan), and he is in awe of seeing lights and decorations everywhere we go. Saturday night we took him through Victoria Park and I actually got tears in my eyes as he talked and blew kisses to Santa, Frosty, the reindeer and the lights. It honestly felt as though time stood still and I breathed in the innocence that is so hard to find in today's world. I have enjoyed shopping even more this year, even through the fall on the floor temper tantrums when we've been out for hours (Alan's way of saying, "ok mommy, enough"). We've also been eating out more than I ever thought I would with my child, but it happens....however, the amount of compliments that Matt and I get about how well behaved Alan is, how cute he is, and how noone can believe he is only 14 months old is a little overwhelming, but I love it. Where others cannot believe that he is only 14 months, I find myself agreeing. With an abundance of emotions during this holiday season, and AJ meeting milestones beyond what I ever imagined at such a fast rate, I am loving my little boy more than I could ever imagine. I found the love that new mommies always told me about the day he was born, and love him more and more each day, but right now I feel like I could pop with love. Thank you Alan, for making me the luckiest mommy!
Here are a pictures from the past couple of weeks, as I have been so busy so I'm catching everyone up.
A Fun Friday at Lucarellis.....
Ellie loves Alan!
I gave Alan his very first haircut, and cried. I was still upset at school the next day, and thought he had a mullet. It was just that he didn't look like a baby anymore (thanks, Theresa)!
A chilly afternoon with daddy!
Alan helped me make a HOMEMADE apple pie for Thanksgiving!
Family Photo at Steve and Lori's during Thanksgiving. Look at Alan's cute shirt, courtesy of Kelle, Kelly, and Heidi. Thanks Girls!
One of our early Saturday mornings at the park. Alan doesn't even need mommy or daddy to help him climb up and go down the slide by himself!
Yummy, Christmas cookies. And yes, Mommy and Son have matching Christmas pajamas!

Alan's first professional haircut, at Clip, Bang, Buzz.
Yep, he had to taste the frosting of the Gingerbread House. Once it hit his mouth, he wanted nothing to do with building it anymore.
Priceless....this was the excitement all the way through Victoria Park!

We want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you to each and everyone of you for the cherished memories of 2008, and look forward to those memories to be made in 2009!
