Catching the Spirit of the Holidays!

What a perfect night for Trick-or-Treating (and a great moon for Alan to say goodnight to)! I cannot believe that we are in the 2008 Holiday Season. For me, each season starts with Halloween. I love it, and it's so much more fun with a little one. We went trick-or-treating, which is so funny how Floridians sit in their driveways with their candy buckets. So different than Michigan, but the weather was much more tolerable. Alan started the day coming with me to school and showing off his costume to everyone, then he walked in our Walk-A-Thon. After work, we headed to Grandma/Grandpa O's where Alan received an Elmo phone, and then to Aunt Lori/Uncle Steve's where he then received trucks. What NO CANDY??? Isn't that why parents take their small children trick-or-treating? Just kidding, I got sheer pleasure hearing people say, "OMG he is so beautiful! Where did you get that costume?" A quick stop to see Taylor, Ashtyn, and Andrea and then we were off to our final destination. At Marsha's we only made it to one street, but it was so precious. I loved every minute, especially watching Sam play mommy to Alan.

And one year ago....

And a perfect way to welcome November, we had a family photoshoot with our talented friend Laura. Here is a taste of more to come....Santa Claus is coming to town!! And I think I am more excited this year than when I was little.

what a widdle cute-ums! and the little newborn picture made me gasp. how, in the course of a year, does that happen? seriously...it's exponential growth, and it astounds me that over 365 days, it's actually gradual enough that we don't see the crazy transformation. xoxo
