At this very moment, our little peanut entered this world and made Matthew and I the happiest parents in the world. And even through the long delivery, and scary couple of days in NICU...the past two years have been worth it all. I am thankful everyday for Alan and who he has made me as a human being.
I found this poem that gave me chills.
I hope you know how much I love you so,
I might embarrass you from time to time
By giving lots of love and needless kisses,
But you need to know Mama loves you so,
Before you were born I didn't know just
how much I would love you so,
But when I looked into your eyes for
the first time,
I felt my heart grow and grow,
A Mothers love is hard to explain,
Not everyone will feel the same,
Now that you are getting older I felt
the need to tell you,
Just how much I love you so,
Time may pass day after day or year
after year,
But the love I have for you grows
nearer and dearer to my heart each
day and year,
To My Son I hope you know just how much
I love you so.
I might embarrass you from time to time
By giving lots of love and needless kisses,
But you need to know Mama loves you so,
Before you were born I didn't know just
how much I would love you so,
But when I looked into your eyes for
the first time,
I felt my heart grow and grow,
A Mothers love is hard to explain,
Not everyone will feel the same,
Now that you are getting older I felt
the need to tell you,
Just how much I love you so,
Time may pass day after day or year
after year,
But the love I have for you grows
nearer and dearer to my heart each
day and year,
To My Son I hope you know just how much
I love you so.
Alan you are my heart and soul and I love you so very much!

SOOO SWEET...what a BEAUTIFUL post! Happy Birthday to Alan! That poem...oh my word! LOVE the newborn pics! :)
I love the timeline of photos...something surreal about it on an actual birthday. Happy Birthday, Alan. Can't wait to celebrate this weekend. And every mama needs to be told 'happy birthday' on their baby's day too...because there is nothing quite so special than the memory of that epic day that alters our life forever.
xoxo
Happy Birthday Alan!
